Most people view hitchhiking as either a desperate move by someone without resources or as a travel adventure by reckless individuals. I've fallen into both of these categories during my hitchhiking days. But this story isn't about getting from point “A” to point “B”. By the early seventies I had hitchhiked more than 25,000 miles across the USA and had a pretty good idea of what was involved. During this same period Conceptual Art was having a resurgence around the International Art Community. As a young artist I was eager to be involved. I decided to combine my artistic concepts with my hitchhiking skills and designed a project that I thought could have some artistic relevance. As with most of my projects, nothing ever turns out the way I expect.

Easy read with a very griping story
This short story is a great insight to the life of hitchhiking. You never know what your getting yourself into when a car pulls over and that is clearly demonstrated with these experiences!
